Snowmobile Trails

The status of Iron County snowmobile trails for the '25-'26 winter season will be updated here. Thank you for the hard work and dedication of our clubs making the best of the shortened season last year. Check back after the first snowfall!

Iron County is in the heart of excellent snowmobiling opportunities. The 304 miles of trails in Iron County connect to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, as well as Ashland, Price, and Vilas counties, offering a variety of scenic tours. Snowmobile trails do not open prior to December 1, and will open as conditions permit.

As the Snow Capital of Wisconsin, there will be more than enough for riders all throughout winter. The average annual snowfall is 200 inches, some past records have topped the 300 mark.
