Snowmobile Trails

OPEN! Refer to our local club, White Thunder Riders FB for twice weekly updates on Norhtern Iron County trails, Iron County Forestry, and Mercer Area Sno-Goers FB for Southern Iron County trails.

Iron County is in the heart of excellent snowmobiling opportunities. The 304 miles of trails in Iron County connect to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, as well as Ashland, Price, and Vilas counties, offering a variety of scenic tours. Snowmobile trails opened Dec 5th and will remain open as long as conditions allow. 

As the Snow Capital of Wisconsin, there will be more than enough for riders all throughout winter. The average annual snowfall is 200 inches, some past records have topped the 300 mark.
